George Spencer-Brown’s Laws of Form (embedded after the jump) is one of Luhmann’s most important influences (and frequent references), and very much a “lost classic” of early twentieth-century attempts to think the intersection of the logics of mathematics and perception (Whitehead, Russell, Peirce).
